Todos los países están contemplando medidas para paliar el impacto económico de la crisis por el COVID-19. El ejemplo a seguir es Alemania. Este país acaba de anunciar un paquete de medidas sin límite de gasto que garantiza liquidez a las empresas y ayudas a las personas afectadas. En esta nota explicamos la urgencia de implementar medidas semejantes en todos los países europeos y no solo en aquellos que se lo pueden permitir por la buena salud de sus cuentas públicas. Ponerlo en práctica requiere una respuesta fiscal contundente por parte de Europa a una escala nunca vista, sobre todo si la crisis sanitaria se alarga.
