Pension fund left thousands of Russians without pensions

The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation did not include part of the pension to 170.5 thousand Russians, Life reports.

Refusal to pay a pension is most often associated with informal employment, in which the employer did not make contributions to the Pension Fund. Another reason for the shortfall in payments is the loss of data on work experience. Due to legal illiteracy, people often make mistakes themselves – they submit applications for the accrual of fee ahead of time, or they incorrectly draw it up.

“When calculating the pension, they did not include five years of work experience. My date of birth was incorrectly written down in the employment record when applying for a job, which employees of the Pension Fund refer to, and a dull seal,” one of the visitors to the legal advice site complained.

From the beginning of the year, Russia introduced a gradual increase in the retirement age, giving the right to insurance payments. Until 2028, the retirement age for men will increase from 60 to 65 years, for women – from 55 to 60 years.
