México. Vanguard colocará 10 ETF europeos

La gestora internacional le apuesta a México en sus planes de crecimiento y de diversificación en los mercados.

A finales de febrero o principios de marzo del 2019, Vanguard listará 10 Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) en el Sistema Internacional de Cotizaciones en México.

Los UCITS son mejor conocidos como los Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) europeos, que “se refieren a la directiva de la Unión Europea que permite a las instituciones de inversión colectiva operar de forma transfronteriza.

“Es el pasaporte europeo para las gestoras y los fondos. La regulación mexicana reconoce los UCITS y permite ofrecer los productos financieros en territorio nacional”, explicó en entrevista con El Economista Juan Manuel Hernández, director general de Vanguard en México.

Dijo que la intención de poner más productos a disposición del mercado es ofrecer mayores alternativas de diversificación para las administradoras de fondos para el retiro (afores), los fondos, las aseguradoras y los inversionistas.
